Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and have a fantastic 2012! I’m looking forward to working on some new themes in my artwork and getting more involved in the art Art Every Day Challengecommunity here in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada.

I’ll be posting information about my artwork, artwork of fellow artists and upcoming art events. Also, I’ll have more to add to my website, and be working on my Art FUNdamentals art lesson book.

Connect with me on Facebook for the Art Every Day Challenge. I started it in October, and will be concentrating on it for 2012. While looking at reviews for a book on art journaling I was considering purchasing, someone mentioned an Art Every Day Challenge. Since the idea intrigued me, I did an internet search and found a group of artists who had started an Art Everyday Challenge a couple years ago, but did not seem currently active, so I decided to start a new challenge with my children and invited other homeschool families, friends, and artists to join us.

My idea was to sketch in my art journal or work on a piece of artwork every day and have my children do the same. I started a Facebook Art Every Day Challenge group and invited people to join us. This way others who are participating can share ideas and offer encouragement. So, if you would like to join us in this challenge to create something daily, we’d love to hear from you! No matter what you feel your skill level is in art, everyone is creative so take the plunge with us and encourage your kids to do so too!

Just request to join the group by clicking on the button on the top right on the Art Every Day Facebook page, or you can adding me as a friend on Facebook and ask me to add you. Make sure you mention the Art Every Day Challenge, my website or how I know you, so I accept your friend request.
