ArtFest Welland, in it’s 6th year for 2013, has now partnered with IlluminAqua – the Waterway’s Arts and Culture Series.
Drawing people from across the province and beyond, IlluminAqua is a unique blend of fire, music and water on the Old Welland Canal, creating a magical atmosphere. This year, IlluminAqua is growing and will transform into a series of five Music Festivals: Blues, Jazz, Folk, Rock and Celtic. Each individually genre-based festival will take place over two days with two ticketed headline concerts – one on each Friday and Saturday evenings, plus a full day of music, art and festival activities on Saturday afternoons – free to the community!
During these festivals, ArtFest Welland artists are showcasing their talent in the park which will include a public paint area, and urban art demonstrations. ArtFest Welland as well as music during the day is free to attend, with tickets required for the headline concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings. This year I’ll be participating during the Folk Festival on July 5-6, and during the Celtic Festival on Aug. 30-31. Come out to enjoy the festival and stop by and see me!
