The Fort Erie Arts Council’s 9th Annual Red Ribbon Art Exhibition is on Sat. Nov. 9 and Sun. 10.
The exhibit is the main fundraiser of the year for the Fort Erie Arts Council, which has added new features this year to not only spark the imagination of the artists, but allow the community to be more involved. At the exhibition, everyone is welcome to pick their favourite paintings, hear about an artist’s vision, chat with neighbours and invest in local art.
This year the public is being invited to vote on an array of statues that have each been decorated by a different artist, and tailored to their unique style. There will be seven of them up for the People’s Choice Award, and after the awards they will go up for auction to be taken home.
Tickets for the Sat. Gala night will be $10 in advance available at Trailside Bar and Grill on Ridge Rd, on http://www.ticketscene.ca/events/9483/ or by calling 905-994-9724 There will also be a wine bar and light hors’ d’oeuvres served.
