30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge January 2016: Day 1

Last year I participated in the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge, hosted by artist Leslie Saeta.  It was a good challenge and great way to start off the year, so I am participating again this January. Leslie has a map with all the participating artists’ locations so it should be fun to be painting along with many other artists around the globe!

This year I plan on painting a series of mini-themes, varying the genre each day.  Today’s painting is a still life.  I chose my husband’s new shiny cup, three gingerbread men our youngest daughter made, and an old plate made by Medicine Man Pottery in Alberta in the 1800’s.  My husband figures his grandfather brought it with him when moving from Alberta to our farm.

Note: Framing can be added so the painting is ready to hang, for an additional charge depending on frame. And for the Challenge, I will ship within Canada & U.S. for free or include a wood frame if you purchase a “30 Day Painting” during January, 2015 using “Buy Now” or your winning bid is over $100.
