March Art Workshops

I’ve started a Children/Teen art class on Saturday mornings and have added Art Workshops during March Break, March 11 through 15, and an adult art workshop on March 23.

Saturday art workshops meet every week (except for the occasional art show conflict or holiday) with registration and payments for 5 weeks at a time.  I have room for a few more students, but am keeping the class size small so I can work more individually with students.  So far we’ve worked with drawing fundamentals of line, value in pencil and pen & ink, color mixing and painting in watercolour, acrylic and oils.  By keeping the class sizes smaller, I’m able to let students have more choice in the subject matter, media and techniques they are interested in. You can pre-register your child/teen for the next session starting March 9 by completing the Pre-registration form.

For March Break Art Workshops, I have Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Mixed Media scheduled each day from 9:30am until noon.  Students can register for individual workshops or all five days. Students will learn or develop stronger fundamental drawing skills, 2-D and 3-D design, composition and more! To get more details or pre-register, visit the March Break 2013 page.

In addition, I’ve added an Adult Printmaking Workshop scheduled for Sat. March 23. In this one-day workshop students will learn basic printmaking so they can create and edition of fine art prints and/or for original card designs..  We’ll also cover some basic design enhancments for card design using watercolours, acrylic, collage & mixed media.  This workshop is for all skill levels.
