I am working on a larger oil painting of our two rescue raccoons right now. This will probably be the final painting in my raccoon series for a while. I’ve started working on some other animal and landscape themes. I’ve painted “the girls” separately, but wanted to create a painting of the two of them. I started with a warm red undertone and then blocked in the composition and main forms. I work on the composition as a whole but develop the background first before adding more detail to the main subject, in this case the raccoons.
I’ll b adding more pictures to this post as I finish the painting.
