Fall Art Workshops!

Children’s Sat. Art Classes Start Sept. 14th – All children workshops include materials and supplies and meet in 5 week sessions throughout the year. Students will learn the basics and gain experience in drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture.  Great for both beginning students and advanced students who want to work with a variety of media or concentrate on one particular media. Ages 7 and up. (New students can start after the first class – contact Wendy for details.)

Adult Painting Workshops– 5 week workshop: Weds. 1pm-3:30pm Sept. 18th – Oct. 16th or a One-Day Workshop – Sat. Oct. 5th 1-4 pm Whichever media of paint you like to work in or would like to learn:  oil, acrylic or watercolour.  You’ll learn the basics, develop new skills and/or learn new techniques. Workshops include most supplies and are for all skill levels.

Adult Printmaking & Card Design Workshop Oct. 26 1-4pm– In this one-day workshop you learn basic printmaking so you can duplicate your images for artwork and card designs. We’ll also cover some basics in watercolours, acrylic, collage & mixed media.  Great workshops for creating unique, personalized cards, journals or albums.  Workshops are for all skill levels.

Most of Wendy’s art classes and art workshop have between 5 to12 students attending, so students get individual attention. Please pre-register for the class(es) you, or your child, would like to attend to reserve your spot, as classes can fill up fast. The best way is to complete the Pre-Registration form , or you can call 905.899.4429.  This ensures a place is available before you make a payment.

If you have already confirmed that a place is available for an upcoming class or workshop, you can pay for the Art Workshop or art class you will be attending, by going to the Workshop area of Wendy’s Store

Wendy Malowany

Wendy Malowany earned her B.F.A., majoring in Painting, and her M.S. in Art Education. She has been drawing and creating since her childhood in the U.S. and Scotland, creating art at a professional level for over 25 years, and teaching art to children and adults for over 20 years. Painting has been her preferred medium since the beginning of her artistic career, particularly oils, but she does sometimes work in other media. Her artwork is inspired by the objects and scenes she encounters daily, in an expressive realistic style. Architecture, animals, landscapes, and nature in general, are the predominant themes of her artwork. She immigrated to Canada after marrying her Canadian husband in 2010, and works in her studio on their 8 acre hobby farm in Wainfleet, Ontario. Wendy sells her work locally, online, and her work is in collections internationally.
