Oakville Art Society is holding their annual art auction this Saturday evening, May 24 starting at 7pm at the Oakville Galleries, Centennial Square, 120 Navy St. Oakville.  This is my first year participating, with “Elvis the King”, my rooster oil painting, in the show.

All Auction items have been juried by George Wale.  The Auction, preceded by a Reception at 7.00pm, will be opened by Mayor Burton at 8.00pm, the Auction itself being conducted by Nello Romagnoli.

Both the Silent and Live Auctions include a wide variety of media; oils, acrylics, watercolours, pottery, all of which can be previewed from May 17th to May 24th during normal Library hours at the Oakville Gallery Centennial Square, Navy St & Lakeshore Rd., or you can preview all the artwork online on the Oakville Art Society website

The focus this year is to raise funds for their OAS programs, and for their Student Award, given to a promising young graduate continuing his/her education in the Visual Arts at the post secondary level. This is a tremendous opportunity to support the Society and the Arts in Oakville, and to bring home an original work of Art by local artists.

The Oakville Art Society is very pleased to announce that Robert Bateman, one of Canada’s most well known and respected artists has donated for auction, a signed and numbered original lithograph print, entitled: “ YOUNG SNOWY OWL ”.

Your chance to meet local artists, enjoy an exciting evening and take home original works of Art, perhaps even a signed Robert Bateman Print.

Preview Silent & Live Auctions: May 17th to May 24th during Library hours.
