My Day 12 painting for the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge is “Kersty”. Kersty is one of our three studio cats. She and her sisters were rescue kittens from Ker Church, a location in which Wendy was commissioned to create artwork for the Niagara HERE project. She was named after the church. She is shy with art students, but usually comes out to see what is going on once everyone is settled into work. She is the first to hop onto Wendy’s lap in the studio, if she has the chance.
