I will be a participating artist at the Port Colborne Art Crawl again this year. Some of my artwork will be in the Canalside Kitchen Store on West St. and I will be having a Fundraiser Paint Party at the new Breakwall Brewing Company on Clarence St., helping to raise funds for scholarships for the students at the local high schools, Port Colborne High School and Lakeshore High School.
The Paint Party has a Port theme, “Marina Sunset”, with lots of room for variation! Even if you have never painted before, this will be a fun afternoon, as I will be walking you through, step-by-step. Experienced Artists are welcome to join in the fun, and I don’t mind at all if you take your painting in a completely different direction. Get your tickets on our website now, limited seating!
Come on out and and enjoy some wonderful craft beer, great food, and bring your friends and family. The Paint Party is from 2-4pm, so you can come for lunch, then paint, order food and drinks while you paint, or stay after for a meal. They have a great variety of food to appeal to everyone, and I love their spicy bean burger! 9 O’Clock Whistle, is my favourite beer, but the first time we went we ordered a Flight so we could sample several, and all were very good. This year’s Art Crawl features live music, demonstrations, activities, local artists & exhibitors. There’s something for everyone, and runs from 2p.m. – 11p.m.
A new addition this year is a children’s area with a bounce house, face-painting, interactive activities, a scavenger hunt for all age, and more.
Musicians performing include Katey Gatta, Brandon Ruch, Mark Clout, Christopher Madronich (Gravely James), Niels Pedersen, Karen Bonnisteel, Michael Metzger, Sing Niagara women’s chorus, Three For All women’s trio, folk duo Probable Fog and The Hard Rock Hooligans.
Also, starting at 7pm, Art Battle will begin, when artists will battle the clock as they work to create a masterpiece in 20 minutes.
