So I have been doing Paint Your Pet fundraisers for a number of years now and have helped many local animal welfare organizations, such as Welland Humane Society, B.A.R.K., Beamsville 4Paw Rescue, Lincoln County Humane Society, Dreamers Dog Sanctuary, Black Goat Farm & Sanctuary, and more!  The owner of the new Carniore’s Cupboard suggested doing a fundraiser here to help our rescue animals.  After getting a vet bill for over $700, we decided to host it as a customer appreciation fundraiser.  We only have room for 16-18 people attending, but will keep the ticket price at $50, and also have delicious vegan/vegetarian snacks.  We have beverages available, but guests are welcome to bring a favourite beverage, if they wish. We are 10-15 minutes from Welland and Port Colborne, and 30 minutes from St. Catharines and Niagara Falls! No experience required!

You need to send Artist/Instructor, Wendy Malowany your photos via email and we’ll make a light rough sketch of the composition and get eye placement and proportion drawn on your canvas.  Then at the Paint Party Wendy will walk you through the painting demonstrating and assisting you step-by-step, but allowing you to add your own creativity too. A creative way to get together to relax and have fun!

Ticket price includes your canvas and all materials you need to create your own Pet Portrait masterpiece!  We provide aprons, but our non-toxic paint can stain some fabrics so don’t wear your brand new outfit.

Depending on weather, we will let guests meet some of our rescue animals. We have a pot belly pig, a Nubian goat, dog, cats, horses, our chicken retirement home of 4 roosters and 11 hens, and some other wildlife that find refuge on the property.

Pet Portrait photo requirements:
Send several photos via email that have a good range of lights and darks. Choose clear photos that show your pet’s eyes and expressions you like which capture his/her personality. Close up head shots at your pet’s eye level are better than taking the photo looking down at your pet, and not so close that noses appear bigger than they are. A little background around pet is fine as I will crop to the proportions of the canvas, but the pet should take up approx. 3/4’s of the photo. High resolution of 300 dpi is good, but if you aren’t sure, email the photos and we’ll let you know if the resolution is good.  Send your photos right after you register and purchase your ticket by replying to the confirmation email or email  to:  wendy [at] wendymalowany.com.  Remember to include name of person who purchased the tickets, the event date and location.  Contact Wendy with questions.

Seats will be limited to accommodate the individual attention we’ll be giving each person and tickets sales will close prior to the date to give us time to draw your sketch on your canvas.  Get your tickets now since we expect the event to sell out fast!
